Working towards skill-developmet of children, especially girls

D-Shram

At Divey Foundation  through the D-Shram initiative, we work for the skill development of youth, especially girls/women from underprivileged socio-economic backgrounds. We strongly believe that financial independence is very important for women empowerment. The skill development is aimed at improving their financial status. It is about improving the economic status  of poor people through vocational skill development

Livelihood Enhancement through Skill Development

The youth comprises over one-third of the Indian population which in turn constitutes a major part of the labour force of the country. The number of underprivileged youth in India who lack education and proper guidance is humungous. They do not possess the right skills and attitude. It is crucial to channelise the energy of  underprivileged youth in the proper direction. We at Divey Foundation, work towards helping these youth in joining the national mainstream and nation building. We believe that vocational skill development programs are the best way towards women empowerment.

Under the D-Sharam program, we run immersive and practical courses  with  hands-on learning format. The courses are industry designed and have wide acceptability among recruiters. The courses provide skills of basic entrepreneurship as well to the trainees. These vocational training programs generate employability for these underprivileged youth.

We at Divey Foundation  keep connected with our students at least for two years’ post pass out so that they can be counselled if necessary. This is necessary as not every youth is the same and may not react in the same way to differing and challenging work environments. As friends and guides to them our trainers make it a point to help them adjust individually to their work environment.

Focus areas of the training remain practical based training, soft & life skill training. We currently provide skill development programs in soap making, candle making, computer skilling, english speaking etc.

We are making our youths technology-proficient with the aid of career-oriented courses which will open a wide-array of opportunities for them. Digital literacy has become the need of the hour and these exposures will be of great help to prepare the youths for our technology-aided world and for positions of future leadership.

Divey Foundation is committed to overall literacy/education, skill development of youth from the underprivileged section of the society. We are committed towards creating awareness and consciousness towards protection of the environment. We believe that it is the responsibility of every successful citizen or organisation of the country to pay back to society, in the form of enabling underprivileged youth to join the national mainstream.
